Ryuichi Sakamoto: Coda. Async


CoolConnections invites you to enjoy the art of the Japanese composer-innovator Ryuichi Sakamoto, the owner of the Academy Award and Grammy, the author of the film scores for Bernardo Bertolucci, Pedro Almodovar, Luca Guadagnino, Nagisa Oshima and others. You'll not only listen to the great Sakamoto's works, but will follow step by step the creation of new music on the big screen.

The Director Stephen Nomura Schieble has created two diverse films: Async at the Park Avenue Armory is following the first public performance of the album “async” (2017) in the Veteran Room of the New York Armory; a film portrait Ryuichi Sakamoto: Coda is a recognized masterpiece of musical documentary.
