The International Green Documentary Film Festival ECOCUP presents a large program of films about ecology and climate in online format in April on the COOL PLAY: 15 full-length documentaries and 2 short film programs.

Ecocup is an independent project that presents films about people and their desire to preserve the world around them.
In 2021, 60 selectors from 24 Russian cities took part in the selection of films at the initial stage. The festival received a record number of applications-films – 950! As a result, the festival of 2021 is the largest in terms of the number of selected films! That it why it is called "Big Ecocup 2021".
Traditionally, the festival is not only about movie, but also meetings with the heroes of films, scientific discussions and interesting lectures.
Movies can be viewed in the online cinema coolconnections.ru, at any time from April 15 to 25, but only on the territory of Russia. The schedule now includes not only movies, but also their discussion. Information about the Q&A can be found under the link to the films, as well as on the festival's website ecocup.ru
This year, we can highlight several main topics: climate, the Arctic, the forest, "green" technologies, and activism, of course. Films will be presented from Austria, Australia, Canada, Germany, Italy, Singapore, the United States, Iceland, France, Croatia, Switzerland, Estonia, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands.
All films are shown in the original language with Russian subtitles.
To watch movies, you need to pre-register on the site.
"Big ECOCUP 2021" will be held with the support of the Foundation. Heinrich Bell in Russia, embassies of Switzerland, France, Germany, Austria and Canada. The American Embassy supports online screenings.
