Elena Rachinskaya
Philologist and Scandinavianist, lecturer in Norwegian language and literature, translator, laureate of the NORLA (Norwegian Literature Abroad) Award, and specialist in the literary works of Edvard Munch
Graduated from the Faculty of Philology of Lomonosov Moscow State University.
In 2013, served as the official Russian translator for the events of the Munch Year in Norway.
In 2014, translation into Russian the audio guide for the permanent exhibition of Munch’s works at the National Museum (Oslo).
In 2019, was coordinator and lecturer of the public educational program for the exhibition "Edvard Munch" at the Tretyakov Gallery.
Elena's translations into Russian of articles on the life and work of Edvard Munch were published in the special edition of the journal "Tretyakov Gallery. Norway – Russia: At the Crossroads of Cultures" (2013) and in the catalogue of the "Edvard Munch" exhibition at the Tretyakov Gallery (2019). She has also translated the following books:
