Based on William Shakespeare's play "Hamlet."

All the characters in the production, performed by Evgeny Mironov, are essentially enclosed within the space of a programmed cube-constructor, onto which the latest video projection techniques cast images of the palace hall, a library, a garden gazebo, an office, or a ship's cabin. Here Polonius is killed, here Ophelia dies, here Hamlet speaks with "poor Yorick" and delivers the great monologue: "To be or not to be..."

Robert Lepage: "Hamlet's main problem is that he thinks too much. He can't find a solution to the problem. He's a character who is constantly working his brain. In the end, the powerful symbol of theater and of 'Hamlet' is the skull. That's why Shakespeare creates this huge scene with a skull — after all, it's also a human head. Of course, I don't have all the answers to my many questions. So it was interesting to do something with a single actor, with a single actor's head."

"Hamlet | Collage" received the XXIII Theater Award "Crystal Turandot," the "Made in Russia" award from Snob magazine, and the "Theatergoer's Star" award. It was also nominated for the national "Golden Mask" award.

The production has toured in St. Petersburg (Russia), Singapore, Tel Aviv (Israel), Bucharest (Romania), and Istanbul (Turkey).
