The creators of the production continue to explore the natural elements on stage. In the sets by People's Artist of the Russian Federation Vladimir Arefiev, water in its various states reveals the fluidity of the author's style and the changeability of the main character. Snow sometimes wraps the stage in featherbeds, sometimes crackles with frost, sometimes turns into dripping meltwater. Flashbacks, dreams, and reflections on the past disrupt the linear flow of the story and make us take a fresh look at these canonical characters. This *Eugene Onegin* seeks a dialogue with an audience that knows the original well and is ready to appreciate Pushkin's theatrical mischief.
