Enjoy it while it lasts

Justine is getting married to Michael. The wedding reception is to take place in the mansion of Claire, Justine’s sister. Claire’s family and divorced parents of both sisters are anxiously waiting for the newlyweds. But bride and groom are terribly late to their own wedding, and there’s something wrong with Jusine, she’s lost her ability to feel and be happy. The family celebration turns into scandals and fights, Justine and Michael split. But nothing can get through to Justine anymore, even the tragic news that Earth is going to collapse soon because of the planet Melancholia, which was hiding behind the Sun, and now is going straight toward our planet.
