Workshop with Albert Birney and Kentucker Audley

Runtime: 90 min.
Albert Birney and Kentucker Audley, co-directors of Sylvio, talk about their experience of making an independent and unconventional feature film together. They will share the secrets and mechanisms of creating the film outside the studio system, talk about financing it through crowd-funding and guide us through the process of independent production and distribution. The directors will also dissect the nature of collaborative filmmaking; how to combine two unique visions into a third, to organize the process of making a film when you’re doing it as a duo, from writing a script to working on production and post-production. Both directors will offer their personal takes on selected scenes from the movie. Birney and Audley will also discuss the creation of the story and the implementation of movie tropes and story devices in relation to telling an overall unconventional story.
