Public talk with celebrated speakers about the global musical phenomenon - K-pop
We invite all concerned to join the discussion on the hottest phenomenon of music, fashion and lifestyle: K-pop, a popular musical genre from South Korea, that not only opens up many new artists annually, but also conquers more and more territories. A unique Asian phenomenon is also storming new horizons in Russia: there was an unprecedented wave of film screenings about the BTS last year, and the first K-pop reality was shown on Russian TV.
We decided to gather in the innovative space in Gorky Park – Samsung Galaxy Studio – and discuss with influential speakers and spectators the K-pop itself and its significance for modern culture.
We will discuss:
- K-pop phenomenon in the world and in Russia as music of young and progressive people
- K-pop in Russian media: how to lead a dialogue with fans and what opportunities can they get?
- The popularity of BTS as the main K-pop band of our time, which has made its way not only into the world arenas, but also onto a wide movie screen

Among the guests are participants of MTCamp and representatives of the Korea National Tourism Organization.
The CoolConnections Art Association is a distributor and organizer of national and international film events. In 2019, it brought the K-pop phenomenon to the cinema community, organizing numerous shows in Russia, Ukraine, Georgia and the CIS.
MTV Russia was first on Russian television to show K-pop and get in touch with BTS in 2014, thereby contributing to the spread of this culture. Thanks to the organization of MTCamp, fans got a chance to express their passion on a global level.
