Yana Churikova

MTV Russia channel head, TV presenter, journalist, public figure

Born on November 6, 1978 in Moscow. Graduated from a music school in piano with honors.

In 1995–2000 she studied at the Lomonosov Moscow State University (Faculty of Journalism, Department of Television and Radio Broadcasting)

In 1992-1996 she worked in the newspaper Glagol as a correspondent.

Since 1996, she worked as an ATV correspondent in the Vremechko program.

From 1998 to 2002, she worked for MTV Russia as the host of the programs Big Cinema, 12 Angry Spectators.

Since April 2002, she worked on Channel One (Perviy).

At the same time, from 2002 to 2004, she held the position of Deputy Head of MTV Russia Program Production Department. In the period from 2004 to 2007 she worked at VID Television Company.

From October 1, 2013 to the present, she has been the CEO of the updated MTV Russia television channel. In February 2014, she was appointed head of Viacom youth and music channels in Russia (MTV Russia, MTV Live HD, MTV Rocks, MTV Hits, MTV Dance, VH1 and VH1 Classic).

Member of the Academy of Russian Television (since 2007).
