Journalist, music critic, producer, TV and radio broadcaster

Mikhail Kozyrev, Russian journalist, music critic, producer on Radio Maximum, Nashe Radio, as well as TV Rain. A Veteran Russian media impresario, Mr. Kozyrev was very influential in reimagining the Russian rock landscape and redefined the Russian music culture.
 
Former General Producer on Radio Maximum, Nashe Radio and Radio Ultra. Currently is the producer of the night air on the Rain TV channel.

As an actor, acted in comedies Election Day and Radio Day. In addition, Kozyrev is considered creator of Russian modern rock infrastructure.

Winner of the Popov National Award, Media Manager of the Year Award, Ovation, Triumph, Quality Mark, and TEFI Awards.

Michael was born on August 5, 1967 in Yekaterinburg, in a creative family. Her father was a violinist and teacher at the Tchaikovsky Music School, his mother worked as a director at a local film studio. Also, Michael is the nephew of the famous Russian actor Valentin Gaft.

Education: Sverdlovsk State Medical Institute (Medical and Preventive Faculty, 1992); Pomona College, Claremont, California (Mass Media Department, 1994). 

In 1994, Kozyrev became the program director of the Maximum radio station (Moscow), and several years later he became the founder of a whole corporation that included the Nashe Radio, print media, the annual rock festivals Nashestvie and Maxidrom.

Another popular project is Radio Ultra, the first radio company in Russia specializing exclusively in heavy music.

2008-2009: General Producer of the First Alternative Music Channel A-One.

Since 2010, Mikhail Kozyrev work at the independent Russian TV channel Dozhd (Rain).
